Details:
While it wasn't visible to the eye, the aurora was captured by the camera aimed low in the northern sky of Southern California's Anza-Borrego Desert. The yellow glow is caused by light pollution from I-10 to the north of the Santa Rosa Mountains; the aurora is the reddish and bluish glows above it. Details: Nikon D750, ISO1600, f/2.8, 8s exposure at 9:19 p.m. PDT.
