Details:
Between 5.45 and 6.00 pm on Thursday 13th, direct brightly coloured reflections of setting sunlight on high cirrus clouds transitioned seamlessly without hiatus into a stratospheric volcanic sunset with a receding brightly coloured twilight arch (in what could be called a 'hybrid' volcanic sunset). These are becoming more frequent as the time-interval between the two decreases possibly because the average altitude of the volcanic aerosols from the January 2022 Hunga-Tonga eruption is now lower than it originally was? Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
