Details:
Received the new Dwarf II Saturday, so of course the Big Lagoon Stargaze was rapidly clouded and fogged out right at sunset, as we drove over for first light! Also messed up our view of last night's aurorae! Today it started to clear, so fitted a black polymer filter over the WA lens, and 1.5" Baader ND5 over the tele lens. Resolution was amazing for such a compact package! Had no problem finding the orange sun with WA, then centered the telephoto, adjusted the speed to 1/1000", and there were spots and granulation, despite hazy skies! Found he edit comands on my Samsung Galaxy 8 allowed a lot of enhancement, such as rotation (image is upright, no mirror reversal needed, as with Lunt 60), cropping, and contrast enhancement to bring out granulation. From top left (NE limb), AR 3264, then to right, 3265, 3260, and 3263 on upper right limb. Below, on SW limb are triangle of AR 3257, 3259, and 3256 (nearest limb), and huge active spot AR 3262 is just to lower left of center. It is the maker of the northern lights! Edited and original versions included.
