Details:
On Saturday evening, the waxing crescent Moon was near the Pleiades open cluster (even caught what I think is the Cosmos 2219 rocket booster passing by), when I noticed a star just above the shadowed side of the Moon. This star, mag. 6 HD 23950, would eventually be occulted by the Moon. Imaged with a Nikon DSLR with 18-400 mm telephoto lens.
