Details:
On Saturday 25th, rapidly clearing sky after sundown (at 6.18 pm) provided some unusual views of the five-day-old Waxing Crescent Moon near volcanic sunset illuminated cumulus clouds between 6.31 and 6.43. The most spectacular was of the Moon near a tall cumulus above Transmitter Hill which for two minutes reflected brightly coloured light from an adjacent volcanic sunset twilight arch. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
