It's been quite awhile since we last saw the Aurora. Even with a relatively bright near 1st quarter moon, the red and green colours were discernible to the naked eye. The display kept getting higher in the sky and a corona like structure appeared directly above for a short period of time. The clouds moved in shortly after that.
