Details:
At first, I was worried the cloudy forecast would spoil my plans to photograph the isolated moonlight on El Capitan's Horsetail Fall. But when I showed up at the location, I was pleased to find that the clouds were thin enough to let moonlight & stars shine through. As I started photographing, the lunar halo grew brighter and brighter, until finally the upper tangent appeared for just a few minutes. It was a surreal scene, reminiscent of the famous "firefall" phenomenon, but without any crowds.
