Details:
During the sunset of January 19, I wanted to portray our sun and the large sunspot AR3190 in a different way. I decided to replace my telescope with its dedicated filters with a conventional lens and camera, thus connecting our star with a terrestrial landscape. I was "lucky" that the large amount of dust in the air, due to the drought that is affecting our region, acted as a filter to reduce the intensity of sunlight, however I had to make multiple exposures to gain something more dynamic range and thus get the image I had in my mind. The photograph obtained shows us the sun setting behind one of the abundant windmills characteristic of our fields, within the solar disk we can see multiple sunspots and in the sky dozens of birds returning to their nests after a day looking for food. To take this photo I used a Canon R7 camera and a Sigma Sports 60-600 lens with a 3-stop ND filter.
