Details:
There are lots of interesting objects in Orion but here is a more obscure one that I have been fascinated by. NGC2174 is the "Monkey Head" nebula and NGC 2175 the cluster. I had imaged this back in January this year, but the other night I decided to have another go. This image is from a combination of the data from the 2 dates. As is usual, if you search for equivalent images on the www, you can find a wide variety - especially in the colour rendition. Here is one that is broadly similar. https://www.sciencephoto.com/media/329887/view/emission-nebula-ngc-2174.
