Details:
I captured one of the best Aurora displays I've seen in years in Tromso last November 20th. The Aurora forecast was a G1-class storm as you can see here. You can see a few images from that night below.
The lakes were recently frozen in Northern Norway, so I went to a frozen lake to capture the Aurora and the reflection. The Aurora was visible to the naked eye from around 6-7 PM, and it was very active from that time until 12-1 AM local time (Norway). There were a couple of high peaks in activity around 08:30 PM and 11:45 PM when the lights created impressive curtains, movements, and there were some pinks and reds visible to the naked eye.
