Venus and Mercury easily visible setting in the Western sky from the Davis Mountains State Park, Skyline Drive in Fort Davis, TX. Image taken with SA7s3, 200mm f/4, iso 6400, 0.5s and shows Mercury in the upper left, Venus bottom center and added attraction in the view is the Marfa Aerostat (Marfa Blimp) off to the far right just left of the mountain slope. The SkyXPro chart shows the fov with Venus at just 1d altitude and Mars at about 4d altitude. Last image is view of the major telescope domes of Univ. TX McDonald Observatory a few miles away.
