Details:
2022. 12. 07. 01:19:36 UT A beautiful and very rare catch: a COM fireball with a terminal flash of around -7 mag. Shower confirmed with calculation using my fellow amateur astronomers' video footages. Based on orbital elements, the COM meteor shower is basically the same as December Leo Minorids. Observed radiant: RA 149.293274° Dec 36.477909° Initial speed= 64.69 km/s (based on average velocity of the luminous phase, assuming negligible atmospheric deceleration) Vgeo=63.57 km/s (Vh=42.20 km/s) e=0.986434 i=132.87° p=296.45 years q=0.603 AU a=44.45 AU ω=257.57° Ω=254.59° Calculated using two amateur video footages with a measurement error of 0.036 and 0.045 degrees, using SonotaCo's softwares.
