Details:
In my location of Maryland it wasn't possible to see the occulation so I had my hopes set on seeing Mars up close to the Moon. I wasn't sure I was going to even be able to see this event as it had been raining for the past two days with rain and clouds in the forecast for the next couple of days. I looked outside and noticed I could see the moon peaking through the layer of clouds and fog that was settling in so I went out and thankfully had my scope setup just in case and turned it on and was able to wait it out as moments of opportunity came and went to get some images of this event. Taken with Celestron 6" SCT and Canon T7i camera
