Details:
With Mars in its current position, we have a wonderful triangle of the two red giants Aldebaran and Betelgeuse, and the red planet Mars creating a triangle in the evening sky and remains through the night. I tried capturing them from Kolkata, under heavy light pollution. The first image captures them while they are low in the horizon. The star on the bottom-right is betelgeuse, the one on the top-right is aldebaran, while mars is located to the left of the frame. The second image captures them while they were slightly higher in the sky, allowing me to capture some more stars along with them and a few star clusters like NGC 1647 (Pirate Moon Cluster), NGC 1746, NGC 1750, NGC 1758, NGC 1807, NGC 1817, etc. The third image shows the position of them (annotated via Pixinsight). Post-processing: Sequator, Photoshop, Pixinsight (for image 2 & 3) Equipment: Nikon D5600 camera, Sigma 50mm f/1.4 Art lens, ioptron Skyguider pro, Benro Rhino series CF tripod Exif: Image 1: 3*4 seconds, ISO 800, f/8 Image 2: 30*8 seconds, ISO 400, f/2.8 Image 3: same as Image 2, annotated in Pixinsight Location: Kolkata, India Date: 14th November 2022
