Details:
Early this morning 4th November 8.30 AEDST I began observing before threatening clouds appeared. At that stage a large prominence was visible extending out like an early Christmas tree. I quickly took some images using a Canon S120 pocket camera just before heavy cloud cover obscured the Sun. When clouds parted at 9.30 and viewing was again possible, the prominence was barely visible. Equipment: Vixen FLS-102 900mm telescope fitted with a 40mm Coronado filter. Camera:Canon Powershot S120 set on manual focus, 1/100s f/4. ISO400
