Details:
On Friday evening the three-day-old 10% illuminated Waxing Crescent Moon was clearly visible above and in a strongly colored volcanic aerosol sunset display. These are now occurring much sooner after the sun disappears below the horizon so consist of a mixture of direct reflected light from the recently set Sun from atmospheric clouds and indirect reflections of the same from volcanic aerosols which have now (9 months after the Hunga Tonga eruption) settled lower in the stratosphere. Cameras: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 and ZS40 in sunset mode.
