Details:
We have been very fortunate to have had a great stretch of really good weather and which has carried into the fall season with today being no exception and in anticipation of the second and final solar eclipse for 2022, albeit a partial eclipse whose depth reached as far as 86% for some parts of Siberia. The eclipse depth for Athens was approximately 38.1% with the eclipse having a duration of two hours and fifteen minutes while straddling across the southern meridian. Attached is the eclipse at maximum and which occurred at 13:42:56 UT+3 local time. As an added bonus, there were three active solar regions: one at each of the limbs to the east and to the west (AR3131 and AR3126, respectively) as well as another fainter group just south of center (AR3130) and which have been labelled in the attached image. Further details in relation to the attached image can be found on my website at https://www.perseus.gr/Astro-Eclipses-2022-10-25-labels.htm .
