Details:
After a very cloudy, rainy and windy autumn the skies actually cleared up for the solar eclipse today - normally it`s the other way around :-) but today was cool (-9 C in the morning) with crisp clear skies apart from some very thin high clouds early in the eclipse.
All in all, perfect conditions here on Kvaløya outside Tromsø and the ground actually became visibly darker during mid-eclipse.
With less than 4 weeks left to the beginning of the polar dark period this was a very nice way to appreciate the sun before she`s gone.
Nikon D4s, AF-Nikkor 300mm 2,8 with 1,7x converter and solar filter
