Details:
At 4.15 am on Saturday 7th October, the 96% illuminated Waxing Gibbous Moon with Jupiter (above right) were observed approaching Murahwa Mountain range and foothills to west of Mutare with the Moon changing colour and fading in brightness due to smoke haze as it set behind one of them a quarter of an hour later. Capturing this proved to be difficult due to poor visibility and low light which required a tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 camera in manual exposure mode set to high magnification, maximum aperture and ISO1600 to obtain these images.
