Details:
This image shows the evolution of the solar activity wave that took place during the second and third week of July 2022. The final composite covers about half of the Sun's rotation (July 7-22). Each clear day the Sun was photographed with a small telescope (15 cm aperture) and a very dark filter, using a conventional camera. The final image captures, in addition to the motion due to the Sun's rotation, the evolution of the different groups of spots and their distribution in bands parallel to the Sun's equator.
