Details:
We had an unusual appearance of a STEVE arc on Aug 29, 2022, with a strong red band and rays to the south of the main auroral arc, plus a white band and brief green picket fence formations. My view was from southern Alberta where the formations appeared to the east, but observers to the east of me saw a better show with STEVE and what might be a red SAR arc positioned to their north and more prominent. My four images were taken a few minutes apart and show the evolution of the formation. Kp was no more than 4 this night, while the night before with a Kp of 5 there was no sign or reports of STEVE that I am aware of.
