Sunflowers and Aurora!! Ever since visiting this field a few years ago, I knew I wanted to get back there if there was a chance for Aurora. Well, this past week provided this opportunity! However, the earth-bound weather made it difficult to get over here. It was my last stop before heading home, and I really jus crossed fingers that there was still enough OOMPH in the solar wind to push some activity. Well, around midnight Monday morning (maybe Sunday night), the BZ dropped enough south briefly and sparked a very short substorm that lasted maybe 15 mins. That's all I needed!! :D What a way to end 5 days of Aurora chasing!!
The close up image is focus stacked. The farm one is also blended with a longer exposure foreground to help bring out details.
