Details:
Almost did not set up the solar scope, as clouds were building by 9 AM already, but rewarded as Tony predicted by intense flare from reversed polarity AR 3078. X-class? Certainly almost a point source, as the clouds thickened and hid rest of sun at 9:10 AM CDT today. Visible with Eon 72 (already hazy), Ha with Lunt 60. If you have clear skies, by all means check out this very active region just south of solar central, with activity directed right at us!
