Captured on Friday 7/22, following the arrival of the CME that brought the most brilliant of aurora displays. As if this wasn’t a magical event in itself, I also managed to capture the ‘picket fence’ STEVE. And topping off the magic was a discovery I made only after I arrived back home and viewed my images on my PC - a little deer drinking from the lake! As it was dark, I had no idea he was standing before me. Even more mind blowing to me, he stood still the entire duration of my 20 second shot! Such a sweet surprise and addition to this already fascinating scene 💚💕
