Details:
At the moment everybody looks at the sun, but I look 1.5 degrees beside. There was Mercury this morning at 09:00am UT shortly after its upper conjunction on 07/16/2022, 07:44pm UT which I could not observe at night of course. As always, great caution is required, because so close to the sun observation without filters is extremely dangerous and can quickly destroy the eye or the equipment. My somewhat adventurous construction with the long pole serves to shade the telescope from direct sunlight.
