It took me two months to figure out why the pink aurora was not captured at the lower edge of the green aurora in this photo taken with astro-modified camera. The answer was simple. The cause was that the exposure time of 30 seconds was too long. The dark red color at 670nm wavelengths is muffled by the brightness of the green color at 557.7nm wavelengths, which starts to emit light a little later.
