Details:
Huge filament on the Sun today anchored to Active Region AR13032. This filament is estimated to be ~370,000 kms long from end-to-end (equivalent to the Earth-Moon distance)!
Technical details: Camera used: ZWO ASI174MM
1) Hydrogen-alpha: Lunt LS80 THa (single-stack mode)
2) Calcium II: William Optics Zenithstar 70ED with Lunt Calcium module and B1200 filter
3) white light: Astro-Physics Traveler 105 with 2” Lunt Herschel Wedge and UV-IR block and variable polarizing filters
Exposures: 1000-2000 subs (SER format), gain: 120,
Exposure times: ~ 0.1-1.0 ms per sub
Software: SharpCap Pro, AutoStakkert, Registax 6 and GIMP.
