Details:
This lunar eclipse was one of the darkest I had experienced in a very long time. Even though the Moon was in the penumbral shadow during moonrise, the intensity of the light drop off was quite dramatic. It was very surreal with the landscape darkening and the stars appearing. And then after totality, the Moon and landscape significantly and rapidly brightened. This was an eclipse to enjoy. Looking forward to November 8th.
The "cotton swab" or Q-tip eclipse sequence was captured with a Canon 60Da, 14mm lens @f/4 (before and after totality), and @f/2.8 during totality. 20-second exposures every minute.
