Details:
This morning, on April 30, I "time-lapsed" the first Eta-Aquarid meteor over San Pedro de Atacama, Chile. And a great one--a fireball. Not a coincidence; in 5 days this meteor shower, caused by the debris of Halley's comet, peaks. It will be perfectly observable especially from the southern hemisphere. Aside from that, a planetary parade in the Zodiacal Light column can be seen as well as the majestic southern Milky Way. Venus and Jupiter were pairing so close my wide-angle lens could not distinguish them. Used Canon 6D modified, Samyang 24mm, f2.8, ISO 8000, 30s single exposure from tripod.
