Details:
The auroras episode of March 30, 2022 was one of the bests een in northern Wyoming in years , the first time I have visually seen red auroras from the Cody Wyoming region in seven years. The silohuetted landmark is Heart Mountain , which is just a few miles from the exact 45° N latitude line halfway from the North Pole to the Equator = the Wyoming-Montana state border. Photographed thru a 40 year old manual focus Nikkor 24mm lens on a Nikon D5300 dslr ... 10 seconds at f/2.8 , daylight color balance at ISO 3200 , in-camera noise reduction. Thanks to SpaceWeather.com for the heads up on the incoming " Cannibal Coronal Mass Ejection " and EM shockwave timing
