Details:
This evening the sky was clear for the first time in over two weeks, so I trekked up to the hilltop reserve across the road from my house, which offers a spectacular view to the west. Unfortunately the vividly coloured skies which I glimpsed between the rain clouds this past week were all but gone. In fact, tonight's sunset was remarkable for its lack of colour, at least initially. Between 7.30pm and 7.44pm AEDT the sky was lit with a bright diffuse white glow, which gradually turned yellow. Pink rays appeared at around 7.47pm. I called it quits at 7.55pm as I was being eaten alive by mosquitos. All photos are in chronological order and taken with my iPhone
