Details:
On Monday evening stratospheric aerosols from the Hunga-Tonga volcanic eruption on January 15th produced a magnificent brightly coloured sunset twilight arch to the west of Mutare as shown in the accompanying images and x60 speed time-lapse animation. Observers in the Southern Hemisphere can expect strongly coloured sunsets (and sunrises) for the next few months. This is the best so far seen from Mutare. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset mode.
