Details:
I saw large sunspot groups on the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) photo for today, and so I hoped I might be able to see some of the sunspots at sunset. It turns out I could, and I saw a green flash as a bonus. Xavier Jubier created a photo illustration combining one of my photos with the properly oriented SDO photo (one of the circular Sun and one with the Sun stretched due to atmospheric refraction).
