Details:
Between 5.20 and 5.24 am on Saturday the 12 percent illuminated Waning Crescent Moon was observed to the east of Mutare in a strongly coloured volcanic Sunrise Twilight Arch produced by lingering stratospheric aerosols that have travelled half way round the world from the massive eruption of the Hunga Tonga volcano on 15th January. This display was visible due to clearance of cloud behind Tropical Storm Ana which has weakened and moved to the west. Camera: Hand-held Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS40 in sunset mode.
