Details:
Despite been low down during the day time and so close to the Sun, I was surprised at how easily I was able to pick up Venus through my telescope. What immediately surprised me is the shear size of the disk. The atmospheric seeing was poor, and contrast between the planet and the day time sky was awful, but it still felt like an achievement to have seen it. Celestron 8" SCT at f/10. 1/1600s at 14:52UT
