04/11/2011 - 11 years ago today Greatest eclipse of the partial solar eclipse at 09:25 am CET over Europe with 80% occultation over Freital. It was extremely cold on this January morning (double-digit minus degrees) and there was a lot of snow. The 80% coverage of the sun created twilight effects. Taken through a Zeiss 8 x 30 binoculars (afocal), dimmed to 15 mm with my very first digital camera, a FS3. Only the clouds served as a filter… Time is racing like crazy, I remember every detail that morning ...
