Details:
On Christmas night I took advantage of a very dark sky (SQM 21.94 at zenit) devoid of airglow to take a wide deep field around comet Leonard. The result is a 20 degree amazing tail, full of details. Close to the coma we can see the main disconnection event occurred few hours before my session. Further away there are still the large bluish strips caused by the outburst of December 23rd, then the tail becomes fainter and make a slight curve on the right. I've never seen such a detailed tail in other comets, even brighter. For this image I used a Sony A7S camera with 105 mm f2.8 lens and averaged 48 images of 30 seconds.
