Details:
Imaged Comet Leonard Christmas night from Florida only 9 degrees elevation. Tail very irregular and smudge noticed along tail. Could not identify a galaxy or nebula in this location on star charts. Could this be a fragment of the nucleus? 3-minute exposure with 100mm Vixen refractor and SBIG 16803 CCD Camera.
