Happy wintersolstice to everyone!Like other years I did place a solarcan (empty beer or juicecan with pinhole and photographic paper inside)to make an exposure of the 'movement' of the sun of 6 months. I did choose a location near our public observatory, next to the English church in Middelburg, the Netherlands. This year I was suprised to see a triple exposure of the path of the sun. How is this possible? After some thinking I discovered that the super glossy surface of the photagraphic paper has projected a reflection in the glossy inside of the can. And this was reflected back to the paper in two different directions.
