Details:
Initially hard to see as the comet (C/2021 A1) has faded and lost some of its tail, it was visible to the naked eye with averted vision - but quite faint. The moon rose last night just after I located the comet and proceeded to dominate the night sky, making it harder to see Comet Leonard. This comet has a round, bright nucleus surrounded by a distinctive but constrained green coma and sports a rusty orange tail that is moderately wide. I'll try to upload further images in the morning. We were due for clouds all this week so I can't complain. Always nice to see a comet! GEAR: Canon EOS Ra + EF 100-400mmL II USM lens used on a Celestron CGX mount (unguided). DETAILS: ISO 1250 - f/4.5 - 20 Seconds + 0EV + around 200mm (to keep the aperture wide).
