Object/Date: C/2021 A1 (Leonard) @ 2021 Dec 6, 05:47 UT Description: Comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) imaged on December 6, 2021, the last image I have been able to get from my new observatory before it plunges into the morning twilight. It had here a brightness measured at magnitude 6.3 with a coma of 18' in angular size while its tail was sticking out of the field by more than 1 degree in length. The comet has slowed its brightening since it changed the shape of the coma and its maximum seems that will be at magnitude 5 on the 12th, coinciding with its closest approach to Earth.
