Ceres again tonight. Last time because of the wide field lens I was using the movement of Ceres wasn't great. However, 5 days have now passed so the movement in the Hyades is much more obvious. I have superimposed the image of Ceres from 22/11 on today's star field image and also rotated the image so that the Hyades are in a more familiar orientation. Since I left the camera with the 25-100 zoom lens pointing at the Hyades, I thought I might be able to image a nearby open cluster before it vanished from the window-sill (and I retired to bed!). Here it is. NGC 1647 - from the comfort of the bedroom!
