COMET LEONARD: Don't let the bright Moon put you off snapping this 7th magnitude comet! This is a single exposure (2021-Nov-22 06:20UT) of 30 seconds with a 9.25-inch SCT at f/5.9 and ISO 3200 using a Canon EOS 760D DSLR with a 93% sunlit Moon in the sky! I was just testing equipment for when the comet is in Moon-free skies next week and this jumped out of the camera screen! (comet 67P is not bad either, maybe 1 magnitude dimmer?) Shoot both comets tonight, even with the bright Moon nearby! David Moore, Astronomy Ireland Magazine. magazine@astronomy.ie
