Details:
A really superb event. After an evening of rain the skies cleared just in the nick of time for this spectacle. With 97% of the Moon inside the Umbra, the deep red appearance closely mimicked that of a total lunar eclipse. The eclipsed Moon was framed perfectly by the bright stars of the Winter Night Sky. I imaged the event with a Meade 10" LX50 SCT with a 0.7x Focal Reducer and a Canon XS DSLR ISO800, 1 Second Exposure.
