Details:
The comet is heading east through a bland star field on the border of Cancer and Gemini that is, however, filled with tiny galaxies fainter than 15th magnitude. The brightest, NGC 2492, an elliptical, is mag 12.7, and the most distinctively shaped is PGC 22401 (mag 15.5), a thin lens-shaped edge-on spiral. The rest are so tiny one can't make out shapes, but only extreme distance makes it so: the 2 mentioned galaxies are both bigger than the Milky Way, NGC 2492 slightly so and PGC 22401 by 20%.
