Details:
Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko near Pollux (β Gem). The bright blue star at the top is Castor (α Gem). Surprisingly, this comet has a thin, faint but very long tail now. It extends out of the image (3.7° in the image). An easy way to see the faint tail on a background with many stars is to use minimum filter. Try it out. Data: EF300mmF2.8L USM, CanonEOS6D, 12800 ISO, 10x60sec stacked (17:35-45 UT), North: upper, FOV: 4.6 x 7°
