20 years ago today: Northern lights over Saxony on October 23, 2001! It was triggered by an X1.6 flare (spot group AR 9661) of the very strong 23rd solar cycle at the time. Taken on Landberg hill near Herzogswalde, 17 km southwest of Dresden. PRAKTICA MTL 5B, Pentacon 1.8/50, Kodak Royal Gold 400 (Negativfilm), 60s exposure
