Details:
After a day of non-stop spring storms, I was looking forward to a cozy night in when my daughter called me over to look out of our back window. With thunder still rumbling overhead, I grabbed my iPhone and ran outside in the rain to photograph one of the most vivid pink sunset skies I have ever seen. The photos don't do the colour justice. It looked almost like a red aurora, but we are much too far north to enjoy the southern lights. Instead it was the rain backlit by the setting sun. A beautiful end to the day!
