Object/Date: C/2021 A1 (Leonard) @ 2021 October 5, 11:38 UT Description: After four months without imaging it due to low elongation, comet C/2021 A1 (Leonard) regains height above the horizon from the northern hemisphere. In this image I took on October 5, 2021, the comet has drastic changed its appearance with a 2.5' angular size coma with slight greenish hue, strong central condensation, and a 3' long V-shaped tail almost to antisunward. Its brightness has risen markedly to magnitude 12, increasing the slope in the light curve and repositioning the comet with a possible maximum visible to the naked eye in December.
