Details:
The photos show the Sun, 15 minutes before setting, captured through a layer of mist, that attenuated its glow, bringing into visibility active regions 2859 and 2860. A Nikon CoolPix P900 camera was used for the shots at 17:25 (UTC-3h), shortly after an eruption of AR2859 had triggered a massive wave of plasma across the Sun in addition to a coronal mass ejection.
